Welcome to our Ngāti Manu Registration Process

Our focus as iwi is to establish and build a comprehensive database. As a registered member of Ngāti Manu will provide you an opportunity to:

Connect to Marae, Hāpu and Whanau
Participate in shaping the future of Ngāti manu
Learn about Ngāti Manu – Waiata, Art, History and Tikanga
Involve yourself and your whānau in all the exciting development and programs happening within Ngāti Manu

Membership criteria:

Individuals must whakapapa to Ngāti Manu
Eligibility for whāngai individuals will be decided by the wider whānau
Registrations are validated by kaumātua representatives from within the 13 identified Tūpuna lines

Data usage:

As part of Te Tāhuhu Nui o Ngāti Manu (Post Settlement Governance Entity). The register will allow eligibility for registered members to vote on the following matters
Iwi issues
Land claims
Fishery issues
Election of ‘Trust’ trustees
Changes to the ‘Trust Deed Register of Beneficiaries’

Voting age:
All members are such from birth however, the age for voting is 18 years and over. Persons 18 years and over should complete an individual registration form.
